Taking photos of sporting events has proved to be the most difficult yet rewarding part of photojournalism. When I decided to commit to being a full-time student journalist, I knew my soccer career had to come to a close. Although it was a tough transition, being up close and personal with the athletes and the game was just as exciting. Being able to capture "Twitter-header" and "refridgerator-worthy" moments for the student athletes to enjoy, was even more rewarding than being out on the field.
